The /dev/ttyUSB0 appears when I plug in the cable. To be certain, I also
put the usb-device (for me dev/bus/usb/001/003) on rwx.

Of course I tried root. The strace does not tell me very much. I see
you have model = 6230 in stead of 6220; is there a particular reason for
that? And what does the dku2libusb do exactly?
