[Regexp] Regular Expressions and file selection

From: Scarlett, Mervyn
Subject: [Regexp] Regular Expressions and file selection

We use SeeBeyond's eGate application as an Integration suite and Regular
Expressions are used in the configuration of an eWay to specify which files are
to be picked up.

I have a problem writing a Regular Expression that will select all the files
from a directory where their names match the pattern asn_header.datnnnn or
asn_container.datnnnn, where nnnn is a four digit number, but leave the files
called asn_header.dat8788 and asn_container.dat8788

Can anyone suggest a solution?

Mervyn Scarlett
