LibrePlanet, does there already exist a libre central registry for voice/video communication over the internet?

FSF, would you be interested in backing such a centralised approach and popularising it?

Are there any ethical issues I am overlooking?

What about technical ones?

Finally, would it be difficult to gain adoption?
