The problem is that, AFAIK, there is no difference in the file format
between include-files and non-include files. (apart from the lack
of a \score{} section in include files)

You can already do this with files names:
piece/piece.ly
piece/sc-piece.ly
more ~/bin/pap
#!/bin/sh
ly2dvi -P sc-*.ly
xdvi sc-*.dvi &
Whenever I want to compile scores, I go to that dir and type "pap".
