Having nightly snapshots is nice, but they are not a replacement
for having versioned releases of SVN HEAD. Distributors want a
fixed and permanent tarball to use and refer to.
But having a nightly snapshot would at least solve the awkwardness
of mentioning in the headline of http://www.nano-editor.org/
a development version that is older than the stable one.
(Also, Chris, you may wish to adjust the date in that headline,
whenever you announce a new version. People who see the 2009
date on the home page might think nano is frozen and dead.)
