That will make Ctrl+Left/Right stop working at the prompt.

But then you add the strings "^Left" and "^Right" to the ^G help text
again, which I don't like, and you will overwrite the tail of "M-Space".

Unbinding ^Space is ineffective also without your patch. Please
provide as a separate patch the first step that was indicated in
the above bug.

Are there any other key combos that cause problems? As far as
I can see it is just that "unbind ^Space all" has no effect (but it
should) and "unbind M-Space all" has a strange side effect (and
it shouldn't).

There is no hurry. These are minor bugs -- they have been there
for a long time and no one has complained, so they can't be big
obstacles.
