No.  Coding style differs per maintainer.  I adapt things to
my style as I go: trailing operators, using the full width of
80 characters, extra indents for continuation lines, etcetera.

No, you pointed them out.  I tested one of them (^|) and indeed,
rebinding it has no effect.  And since the others are in the same
group (in the column of the lowercase letters) I guess they will
behave the same.

I just meant "filtering", picking out and rejecting the values that
should not be accepted.  That is: two more conditions in the same
if statement that you modified in commit e2027ae.
