Follow-up Comment #9:
@Kai: When you run with '-v' do you see -lgfortran being added to the linkage
phase with Octave 4.2.2 and not with Octave 5.1.0?
I'm interested in whether Octave use to add the flag, or whether the gfortran
package used to add it and no longer does.
Also, given that the 6.1 release is close, I've marke this as related to the
"dev" release. Can you test mkoctfile with a development version to see if
the problem is still present there?
