I'm awfully sorry, I haven't noticed this before: the LPPL is
GPL-incompatible, so even though you can release your package under the GPL
(adding exceptions for using with your GPL-incompatible dependencies
<https://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#GPLIncompatibleLibs>), but your
users won't be able to combine your package with other software released under
the GPL (without those exceptions). Your package will not be fully
GPL-compatible for them.
