Details:

There are devices (such as mega8), which do not have timers 0,1,2 and 3 and
for which the closest matching timer model is the one in hwtimer.cpp.

This patch makes the timer more flexible by allowing to specify the position
of the various bits in the TIFR and TIMSK registers when creating a new
device.
