Yes.
I've found and fixed the problem. The fix will be in eSpeak version
1.44.26 at
http://espeak.sf.net/test/latest.html
Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem at SourceForge today. I
can't access their server at web.sourceforge.net to upload the new
version.
