Hi,
Just for the protocol:
One big reason of some people to move speechd in to usersession was
security.
It's really strange that speakup is included now in the staging branch
of the vanela linux kernel.
To get it running via speechd wil roduce a lot of trouble because of 
the usersession stuff.
Just my two cents.
