need help on build from source for Solaris 2.6

I'm working on building swarm from the swarm-2.0.1.tar.gz source files, and
have gotten stuck fairly near the start. This is on a new system just set
up with Solaris 2.6, I'm not sure if I'm doing the install wrong or
something is missing from our system setup.

The "configure" seems to run, although there is a core file left over when
it finishes. I used the options --prefix=, --with-xpmdir=,
--with-defaultdir= all pointing to the same project directory where I've
installed all the packages, and also using "--disable-shared".

Then when running "make", it compiles the libobjc class.c file, does "echo
timestamp > class.lo", and next gives this error:

make[4]: *** No rule to make target
`/export/home/tmpspace/swarm-2.0.1/libobjc/config/sparc/compiler-info-generi
c.h', needed by `compiler-info.h'. Stop.

Looking in the libobjc/config/sparc directory, there is a
"compiler-info-solaris2.h" file, but no other "compiler-info'*" files.

Does this sound like I need to look closer at what the 'configure' step has
done, or that something has gone wrong during the make? I can send more
info, but am not even sure where I should be looking to spot the problem.

thanks,
