        I suggest you load up libobjc/configure into your editor, search for
        "solaris2.7" and change it to "solaris2.6", then start the configure
        process over.  ("solaris2.7" only happens once.)

It took me several rounds of 'distclean' and rebuilds, not sure what I was
missing, but now have a system where the 2.0.1 'heatbugs' and other apps
compile and run.

I'm still using the static-link version, I think the gcc on our system
currently is not set up per the GNU binutils tip below.  (It uses the linker
'/usr/ccs/bin/ld' rather than the GNU 'ld' in /usr/local/bin).  Does getting
the gcc set up correctly require a rebuild of gcc from source , or is it
just a control setting to change somewhere?

        SB> and also using "--disable-shared".
        Side note: this isn't necessary if you configure GCC to use GNU
        binutils.  Shared libraries do speed up model linking quite a bit.
