At a rough guess, looks like it is choking on an image render.
Try it with individual pages, or a smaller sub-set of pages, using the
-p flag, so you can see where exactly it borks.
Which version of swftools are you using? A current snapshot, or even the
latest git, maybe prove to be less troublesome. ( No guarantees though! )
Able to link to an 'errant' pdf for testing?
