But... could you perhaps also add C-s C-u C-y, as I suggested? If not, why not? The prefix argument is currently ignored by C-y.I type C-u C-y to exit a search by yanking. Just C-y won't do it.
What version of Emacs do you use? With Emacs 24 and above, C-y and C-u C-y in isearch-mode-map have the exact same effect (isearch-yank-kill).
