That's what I thought Savannah did, but it does not. I was starting
to change the code so that it behaves this way when I noticed that
address@hidden adresses were *stored* in the database (in
support request list of people to notify, for instance). And I
thought: replace it with the actual address ! But now what happens
when the user changes his mail address ? If the stored email is the real
one, it does not work anymore.
Having a central switch between the user name and the actual email adresse
(/etc/aliases) makes the code easier to write and email changes never impact
anything.
Again, this alias is not meant to be visible from the outside, just within
Savannah.
