Native windows programs may install any number of additional files or
do funny things with filenames behind the scenes and you would never
know about it.  As long as all this behind the scenes processing
works, the user never needs to know anything about it.  If it fails,
well, whether the software is based on Cygwin or a completely separate
system, the dumber-than-a-board user will still be clueless about how
to fix it.  So objecting to Cygwin's tricks and not the tricks of
other complex software doesn't make sense to me.
