Follow-up Comment #7, bug #17235 (project sourceinstall):
Hello,
I run the following test with a2ps;
- I installed a2ps-4.10.4, info file installed correctly. Took md5 hash of
the a2ps.info.
- I upgraded a2ps version to a2ps-4.12, info file upgraded correctly, md5 has
changed.
- I removed a2ps, info file was removed. ( Although man page remained and
"info a2ps" showed the man page )
- I installed a2ps-4.12, md5 the same as the md5 after 4.10->4.12 upgrade.
- I downgraded from 4.12 to 4.10, md5 same as the fresh installed 4.10
- I removed a2ps-4.10, again, info file is removed but man page is not.
I guess the patch works :) But the issue with man pages seem strange and may
require further investigation. Sourceinstall issues "/bin/rm -f
/usr/local/man/man1/a2ps.1" but the man page that stayed is in
"/usr/local/share/man/man1/a2ps.1", I used "--prefix=/usr/local" during the
test.
