I think that it is important that the gui Menu structure makes it 
possible to have horizontal menus, even if the code is not there and in 
a separate bundle. It would be nice to have the menu structure worked 
out so that it is general enough to support different menu types 
(strict MacOSX header compatibility is probably not important, as even 
their system doesn't appear to be compatible with itself).
