Please do not use Wikibooks. They are not free software.

 I'm not aware of this,
 but the website said it is powered by "MediaWiki",
 which is a GPL project: http://wikipedia.sourceforge.net/.

In particular,
you may not use their example code in free software. This seems a
particular problem for an instruction book.

 If it is true, it is useless,
 but the copyright of wikibooks is GFDL.
 (http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Wikibooks:Copyrights)
 It seems to me that there should be no problem to reuse the code.

 Anyway, this idea seems not a popular one.
