Sounds like you have a bit of a learning curve ahead of you. I'd
start at:
http://www.google.com/search?q=emacs+Windows+NT+FAQ&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8
and then ask on the relevant news groups.
Also check out the emacs wiki at http://emacswiki.org
Emacs is worth the bother, but it is a bit of a bother at first.
