The question is should that infrastructure be based on Ruby classes/objects that serialize to text (YAML) or XML.
I think you convinced me. Ruby is already non standard by itself (wee all do Java programming for a living right? ;-) ) so why care about XML...
Let's give YAML a try. I see it as a much lower risk than running Rich 's frustration high :-)
