No, I can't, because the code is under the adware Affero licence
instead of something nicer like GPL.  While I'm happy to comment, I
view the site development as as closed as itprofessionals or ecademy.

You can see other sites developed to use URIs where appropriate at
places like Amazon or many other OSCommerce sites.

That's an overreaction.  It would be a mistake to use it everywhere,
but it would also be a mistake to use QUERY_STRING everywhere.
