I try to stay pretty stock gentoo, they use rolling releases.  Plus
I want to stay in touch with what real people have.

That is one reason I said sntp was just a bit too new to mention
in te howto.

We have settled on ntpq for the howto.  It also gives is the latency, jitter,
etc. so is what the howto needs.

hehehe.   Which is why we need the howto!

Another reason why we went with the stable ntpq.  In private we play
on the bleeding edge, but for a public howto we stay middle of the road.
