But Ubuntu does not have a /21 or so, and is unlikely to get one from RIPE just to run a couple of NTP servers.  And they probably renegotiate their data center contracts annually, so their IP addresses change.

And the day Mark decides to shutdown Canonical, Linux Mint desktops lose NTP service :-)
