If you didn't fix your kpathsea installation,

Make sure that libkpathsea is installed (possibly you need to install
a tetex-dev package) or if it is installed, that configure can find
it, ie, add any necessary -I and -L to CFLAGS. The config.log shows
why it can't link to libkpathsea.
