Sorry, I don't understand the question. As you say yourself, you just specify the
clef using
\clef tenor
or
\clef bass
or whatever clef you want. You will get exactly the same pitches, printed
according to the clef.

On the other hand, of you want to transpose a part by an octave, for example,
you can use
\transpose c c' {c d e f g ...}
