BLT problems under Linux |

Hi All,
It is becoming apparent that a number of people have had problems
building the BLT library under Linux. By way of aid, I'd be happy to
e-mail a .tgz copy of the binaries of the BLT library I succesfully
built to anyone who asks for it.
For those wondering how I did it, I can't remember any specific
details, but I can tell you what software is installed on my system:
Slackware 3.0 (but I've upgraded gcc to 2.7.2)
kernel 1.2.13 (ELF)
Xfree86 Version 3.1.2-D
My /lib directory looks like this:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
cpp@ libdl.so@ libm.so.5.0.0*
ld-linux.so.1@ libdl.so.1@ libobjc.a@
ld-linux.so.1.7.3* libdl.so.1.7.3* libolgx.so.3@

libcurses.so.1@ libm.so.4.6.27*
libcurses.so.1.0.0* libm.so.5@
-------------------------------------------------------------------
My /usr/lib looks like this:

libg.a@ libtcl.so.1.7.4*
-------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: There are a lot of symbolic links (*@) here to the swarm
libraries that were not in place when I built blt.
Finally, my /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-unknown-linux/2.7.2/ looks like:
-------------------------------------------------------------------
SYSCALLS.c.X cc1obj* cpp* libgcc.a specs*
cc1* cc1plus* include/ libobjc.a
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully, any of you having problems might be able to scan the above
to find differences between my system and your own. Apart from blt,
tclobject and the swarm libraries, virtually all of this software is
standard issue (ie. from an InfoMagic CD-ROM).
Best of Luck,
- Thor
