Well groveled, Steve! Seldom have I read a grovel so thorough!

But more importantly, I've been screwed since my Saturn return...er...some time
back. ;) Do you swap charts with others? In particular, have you identified
transits denoting Bad Machine Days? You know, the ones where the Ethernet lines
in the walls appear to carry gremlin current and such....

I would not be unhappy to see Swarm rewritten in Java from scratch. There was
nothing even close to Swarm as a modeling framework when I started with it (and
I know, and I looked, and all that.) But the sheer quality and power of both
mass market software tools and mass market computers has come Very Far Very Fast
since then.

I wanna slam a JAR file into JBuilder, play BeanBox, and deploy on the web
tomorrow. There are no inherent technical limitations preventing it.

I'd suggest the Swarm team just start over and build clean. And Especially, Most
Importantly, Most Crucially, Get Rid of the Damned Prereq S/w.... Just one JAR
file. The world is a Better Place now.

My two bits. I'm not going to grovel. This ain't no flame.

Ciao,
    Ginger
