Thank you for updating the situation here.  It has been hard to keep up with the packaging for the PPA as it has been a fairly manual process to this point.  We are in the process of pulling packaging definitions for the ppa into the source tree so far as it makes sense to do so to automate the process.  Hopefully this will force us to keep the master branch PPA in line with the code.

If I understand correctly
https://launchpad.net/~gnuradio/+archive/ubuntu/gnuradio-master
indicates that it was last built 2020-11-04, so before 3.9.0.0 was tagged.

I'm not sure how often it is supposed to be updated, but I fear its
current state might do more harm than good. The 3.9.0.0 inside the
package name confused me.


The packages from `ppa:gnuradio/gnuradio-releases` actually contain the
expected files. I'm sorry for the noise.
