I recently saw another reference to icons (possibly from Sacha
herself), but am unaware of what these are for, and/or how to use
them.  In fact, I find that I have neglected this mailing list so much
recently, that now, as I'm trying to catch up, I'm seeing references
to all sorts of new features I'm rather clueless about.

Perhaps it's time to dig out the old manual again?!

How up to date is this, and what's the difference between planner.pdf
and planner-el.pdf?  Upon a cursory glance, they seem to be mostly the
same, except the latter is from 10 Mar 2005 and the former is from 4
Jan 2005. ( and 2+ months in planner time is forever :)
