Well well. I've never seen that before. Very odd.

Try Nct's recommendations and use opengl on/off to see if there is any difference (and dont use valgrind to see if its a bug or a speed issue with graphics).

Half the time the dialog looks okay, the other half it is this ugly.
I can't remember if mouse events seemed to influence when it was ugly.
