Theirs is a really heavyweight approach - it requires forking tar and
diff/patch. I'm not really interested in that, although for Windows
I'm sure it's the best solution.
Note also my approach is somewhat orthogonal. For example, one use case
I'm trying to keep in mind is for not including the patch logs in the
project tree at all. The decoder function would instead append the list
to a single file, and commands like 'tla logs -s' would then use the
archive for log content.
