Actually, the UN was in control in theory. It doesn't really matter
who
was in control of it. Ultimately, all oil comes from Chicago. That is,
its
traded at the Chicago Board of Trade (the US commodity market).
You simplify a lot here and you say nothing about economic forces,
instead
you talk a lot about political decisions, but without questioning the
reasons behind it, it stays shallow. What about the US and world
dependency on oil? Who can supply enough oil in the near/far future?
The same is true if you want to discuss totalitarianism, which
requires a
look at social structures and the forces within. From that perspective
your post is amazingly free of content and I don't really know what to
do
with it.
Anyway, this already way to offtopic and I'm not really interested in
superficial political discussions and better stop this here.
