No need to send your log output.  With the raw data, that you provide below,
I can regenerate the logs you see, and more.

For sure. It was for completeness (and others who want to use the Python interface).

This is very driver and configuration dependent.  Just because gpsd
does not report an RTK fix does not mean you do not have one.

I need the ENTIRE raw data.

Alright, but keep in mind the ONLY two sentences the Trimble is configured to send are RMC and GGA and the unit is stationary. But I can get you the RMC strings too. Stand by (the unit is remote).

Problems are usually found where people are NOT looking.  In the
data they mentally, or with fgrep, filter out.

Agreed, but I am positive of the two sentences that are being emitted. I filtered for brevity (perhaps a bad idea).

Are you also having the Trimble send TSIP?  If not, why not?

Wanted the minimal amount of strings necessary for our application. What does TSIP give me?

Yes, but what do the other messages show?  Can you please send a
complete set of raw data?  Often receivers send conflicting messages
and gpsd has to flip a coin as to which to beleive.

I thought of this but I didn't see anything in the RMC string that is remotely related to fix quality.

I would turn all the NMEA off.  The TSIP is better defined and more
complete.

Ah that answers my last question. I have to see if it emits TSIP at 10Hz like the NMEAs though (probably).

Maybe the RMC is after the GGA and turning the RTK status back off
in gpsd.  Without the full raw data, no way to know.

I will get you  RMC strings but WHAT in RMC is related to fix quality?

Maybe nothing.  Not enough data.

Alright, let me get you those RMC strings.
