yes, this sounds good. I have filed a bug (#8459) to ask you for your 
passphrase 3 times. it is a small fix, should be easy. feel free to work 
out a patch and submit it if you want to see this solved "immediately". 
look in keys.cc, in the function make_signature, around line 232.
