which clearly shows 1065 as the best candidate.

not sure how clear that is... ;)
are you looking at the most recent date?

Being very picky, how about a couple of small "improvements"?
- put the date before the author so things line up nicer
- sort it by date so the latest is last (it seems rather random at the moment)

PS: 1065b4e6a29ad56c33c9b81367acf5a0633f7e94 contains the following additional work against graydons last head:

- CVS import honors visibility of files
- monotone log [ID] [file] to see the changes to a specific file only
- make --without-bundled-sqlite work (but not default)
- monotone heads shows date and author
