Hi Duncan,

The web page looks fine to me. I have an observation about the tags. I don’t
know much about tagging so the following is more a feeling than a deep
thought :-)
On the web page, we can see that there are many tags that describe the
workflow as a whole, this tagging ignore the compositional nature of the
workflow which is fine given that this method is widely popular for
labelling images and video and likely to work for workflows as well.
However, images or videos are not decomposable entities (or at least we do
not have an effective and inexpensive way to do so yet). This is not the
case for workflows. I was therefore wondering whether it is a good idea to
exploit the internal structure of a workflow to have a fine-grained tagging
scheme, by which I mean allowing the users to assign key words to the
workflow, to the constituent services and their operations. I am not
suggesting to have a more accurate way of annotating the workflow as the key
words will be still chosen in an informal and personal way not from
ontologies, but one that takes advantage from the internal structure of the
workflow. This way of tagging will benefit (amongst other things) to the
query of workflows as it will likely reduce the number of false positives
and locating more relevant workflows. (Note that I say “likely” as this
remains to be proven).

For something completely different, you may want to see Duncan with short
hair taking a picture with Eric Cantona (!)

Hello

Carole asked me to for a screen shot of what a "tagged" service might
look like, so I hastily knocked-up this
http://www.flickr.com/photos/dullhunk/428021021/

As an aside, I think this is also a nice demonstration of what
myExperiment should "look and feel" like:

...Except users won't just want to look at pretty GraphViz pictures,
they will also want to

1. Invoke the service (or workflow) directly from the page
2. Give some input
3. Tweak parameters
4. Track provenance
5. Make cups of tea
6. ... other Taverna like things
7. etc

Of course, as myExperiment enthusiasts, you knew all this already, but I
think its useful to have a demonstration using an interface that lots of
people are familiar and a "real" example.

Yours enthusiastically

Duncan
