Installation Problems on Solaris 2.4

I've noticed from the archives that most people are on Solari 2.5 or
2.5.1, however, I'm not quite so fortunate. One of the things that does
not seem to be mentioned is the use of libc, either Sun's or GNU's. Has
anyone installed glibc on Solaris 2.4 successfully? I'm having problems
with the 'make tests' part:

Anyone have suggestions? At this point it seems I need this library for
the hypot function in libm.a for Tcl/Tk. It's missing in Solaris libm,
however, I can find e_hypt.o and w_hypot.o in Sun's libm.
