Compiling swarm on solaris-8

I am trying to build u more recent snapshot of Swarm (2001-03-20) for
our solaris 8 (sparc) machines.
We are using the binary package for solaris-7 (version 2.1.1) up till
now. I understand that this version has some known problems with
memory leaks that are solved in the recent snapshots.

The build stops with:
/opt/gnu/gcc-2.95.2-gnu-ld/bin/gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I../..
-I../../libobjc -I../../libobjc -I. -I.. -I./.. -I./../defobj -I./../misc
-I./../objectbase -I./../random -I/usr/local/java/jdk1.3/include
-I/usr/local/java/jdk1.3/include/solaris -DBUILDING_SWARM -g -O2 -Wall
-Wno-import -Wno-protocol -Werror -Wno-unknown-pragmas -c -fPIC -DPIC
OutputStream.m -o .libs/OutputStream.lo
cc1obj: warnings being treated as errors
OutputStream.m: In function `-[OutputStream(c) _catLongLong:]':
OutputStream.m:252: warning: long int format, different type arg (arg 3)
OutputStream.m: In function `-[OutputStream(c) _catUnsignedLongLong:]':
OutputStream.m:273: warning: long unsigned int format, different type arg (arg
3)
gmake: *** [OutputStream.lo] Error 1

I never encoutered this error in previous builds of swarm. I noticed
some remarks regarding catLongLong in src/collections/ChangeLog. Before
digging deeper in the stuff myself, I would like to ask if someone has
encoutered this error before and knows a way to fix it.

Regards,

Gert Huisman
