   Hm, that's strange. In a private mail Ye told me that he has
   received and sent the signed papers back to the FSF in *March*.

The FSF has been a bit bit busy AFAIK, and got a small backlog of
copyright assignments, so it might not have been processed yet.  The
best way to check is for Ye Wenbin <address@hidden> to contact the
FSF (address@hidden usually) and see what's going on.

   And another thing: What version number should the release have?
   IMHO the whole bunch of new features would justify increasing the
   version number to 3.0. What do you think?

Might be worth waiting until GPLv3 is released.
