Er, clearly.  The rest of your message basically says "trust me, we'll
somehow figure out how to handle this before things get _too_ painful,
it's not nearly as bad as it looks..." (followed by a bunch of furious
hand-waving) -- but neglects to demonstrate a usable mechanism.  Is
there one?
