A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Colin Tück <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: FindByContent Indexing System
System name: fbc-indexer
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
The fbc-indexer is intented to create an index of files - of any type which you
can filter to plain text - in a MySQL database (maybe you can use any other
database, it should just be supported by Perl as well as PHP).
After indexing, you should have a possibility to quickly search for a file
containing a certain word.
Although this could by usable for almost any collection of files, it is
especially intended/designed to be used on netatalk shares for Mac clients due
to the primary determination of the file types.
