Re: error: TkExtra (instance)

javaswarm doesnt seem to support the --batch option. i am running debian 
kernel 2.4.17. In swarm FAQ, it is mentioned that debian gcc adds some 
nonstandard threading code that could cause TCL initialization errors. 

This info was posted on 04-13-1998. so, i am not sure whether this is 
still relevant. 

i am sure X is configured fine with DISPLAY set correctly, since i run
several X apps on this machine. 

can anyone help?
