Thanks for those suggestions Rhys & Gopal,
Inserted below are my findings:
If memory serves me right, Ian Game wrote:

I would like to see the places where that happened ... It just might
be the I18n failing ?
No, it was in TestBoolean, TestDESWeak, TestTripleDES & TestXMLException
And hmm... since it takes under 1 minute to compile the entire pnetlib,
I wonder if you could recompile and try again.
OK, I did a cvs update on pnetlib, clean then make OK.
Now it runs straight through to the end (I have also put back the
original test code files BTW).
Also one more interesting point, pnetlib compiled in any platform can
be used in any other platform .... (which is how we seperate the compiler
bugs from runtime bugs)...
This looks like a runtime bug ...
Have I overlooked something obvious here?
hehe, nothing that is obvious to me :-) ... Do the pnetlib/samples run
correctly ? ...
Yes
samples$ ./ilrun.sh hello.exe
Sorry, but this is my first attempt with PNET soplease bear with me.
You're welcome to bug me :-) ... and between me , rhys and others at least
one of us is awake at one time or other. ("round the globe, round the clock").
Thanks
For others trying to build pnet , using the "./madcow" script might
help us get a better idea of breaks in the build. That's for the engine
and compiler.
