As I mentioned earlier, I have never seen such a situation in practice, so
I have no idea what behavior would make sense in such a case. For that
reason I decided it was better to stay closer to the "old" behavior so as
not to introduce new problems.
So, no I don't see any problem, and neither do I see any benefit,
