In your case, though, David, you received it via the mailing
list.  That is, there was no hop directly from munnari to GMail
(where the 33-hour delay occurred for me).

This has so far been the only one that I'm aware of.  I've not
otherwise seen replies to ML messages that I've not received.

As far as I'm aware, GMail has not suppressed messages, and it
pretty rarely puts ham in my Spam folder (which I promptly
"teach" it is ham).
