OK. Before I figure that out, tell me this. I notice that when I put
some rectangles and 8 or 10 bugs, into that TestCanvas program, the
model runs somewhat "sluggishly", in the sense that the control panel
does not respond immediately to mouse clicks and the simulation runs a
while after the stop button. This makes me suspect that the canvas will
be too slow to draw dots for a few hundred objects, so there's not much
use in trying. Am I just having a bad morning?
It seems like the ideal case would be a raster full of pixels that can
have a "clear" canvas on top of it, so I could write the raster part in
the background and have canvas action overlaid on a separate plane. If
I did learn Tk, would I be able to do something like that?
