Everything is confusing and unreadable when the replies are all over the
place, and reading threads gets incredibly irritating.  Thus one way to
post replies is needed, and normal readable chronological order is the
most sensible one for obvious reasons.

More importantly than any sort of rational argument, however:  I said
so. :)
